
No. 14 Men's Tennis Suffers 4-1 Loss at No. 5 USC

The Bruins (8-6) received their lone point on the day at the No. 2 spot, where 33rd-ranked Dennis Mkrtchian pulled off the slight upset over 20th-ranked Roberto Quiroz, winning 6-4, 6-3.
USC (12-2), on the other hand, took the doubles point and was then able to notch three straight-set wins in singles play. Two singles matches were suspended, with fifth-ranked Mackenzie McDonald and Martin Redlicki both in third sets at their respective courts.
Saturday's showdown did not count in the Pac-12 standings. The conference showdown between the two teams will be on Thursday, April 16 at UCLA.
Up next for UCLA is a home match against UNLV on Monday, March 23.
