
Golfers Fall Twice in Match Play Draw

After earning the top seed Friday by finishing first in the 18-hole stroke play competition, the Bruins lost a couple of close matches to eighth-seed USC and fifth-seed Baylor. Scores of both matches were 3-2.
Junior Louise Ridderstrom scored 1.5 points on the day to lead the Bruins. In the first match, she defeated USC's Kyung Kim, 1-up, and in the second match she halved with Baylor's Giovana Maymon.
Freshman Lydia Choi scored one point against USC, defeating Annie Park, 1-up. Sophomore Bronte Law scored a point in the Baylor match, beating Lauren White, 3 and 2.
UCLA meets Arkansas in the seventh place match on Sunday.
