
Golfers Fourth after Suspension of Play at Pasatiempo

Play was halted due to darkness with 22 players still on the course. The Bruins were in fourth place at 22-over par, four shots behind Oregon at 18-under par. Stanford held the 36-hole lead at 7-over par 707, followed by Texas at 712 (+12). Washington was fifth at 724 (+24).
The Western Intercollegiates uses a five player-count-six scoring format.
Individually, senior Matt Pinizzotto and junior Lorens Chan failed to finish two rounds on Saturday. Pinizzotto was tied for eighth at even par following a first roud 69 (-1) and was 1-over par through 15 holes in the second round. Chan was tied for 54th at 10-over par. He posted a 74 (+4) in the morning and was 6-over par through 15 holes in the second round.
Junior Jonathan Garrick was also tied for eighth at 140 (E) following rounds of 71-69. Tied for 44th were seniors Preston Valder and Kyle Pollema at 9-over par 149. Valder posted rounds of 74-75 and Pollema had rounds of 76-73. Junior Jake Knapp was tied for 64th at 12-over par 152 following scores of 70-82.
Senior Manav Shah, playing as an individual, posted scores of 69-74-143 (+3) and was tied for 18th place.
Scottie Scheffler of Texas held the 36-hole lead at 6-under par 134 after posting scores of 66-68.
