UCLA Downs Georgia Tech, 4-0

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – With a 4-0 win over No. 42 Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon, the twelfth-ranked UCLA men's tennis team advances to the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships in February. The Bruins (3-0) also posted a 4-0 victory over No. 46 SMU on Saturday as part of ITA Kick-Off Weekend at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
UCLA put the first point on the board after clinching doubles. Maxime Cressy and Martin Redlicki struck first, edging their Yellow Jacket opponents, 6-4, on court 3. While Karue Sell and Joseph Di Giulio were battling the No. 36 doubles team in the country on court 1, Gage Brymer and Austin Rapp dispatched Cole Fiegel and Christopher Eubanks, 6-3, to earn the Bruins the doubles point.

In singles play, Sell made quick work of Georgia Tech's Michael Kay on court 3 to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead. Brymer quickly followed suit with a straight-set victory on court 2. Di Giulio then secured the win for UCLA on court 6, downing Fiegel in straights.
The 2016 USTA/ITA National Team Indoors takes place from Feb. 12-15, in Charlottesville, Va.
Next up, the Bruins host No. 6 Georgia and No. 21 Florida. Saturday's match against the Bulldogs begins at 1:00 p.m. UCLA faces the Gators at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
