TUCSON, Ariz. – After rain delays, the fourth-ranked UCLA men's tennis team blanked Arizona, 4-0, on an overcast Friday afternoon in Tucson. With the win, the Bruins improve to 17-2 on the season and 5-0 in conference play.

The Bruins started strong, securing the doubles point on courts 1 and 2. Karue Sell and Joseph Di Giulio struck first, downing Will Adkisson and Naoki Takeda, 6-2, on court 2. The fifth-ranked duo of Mackenzie McDonald and Martin Redlicki followed suit, edging Will Kneale and Oliver Plaskett, 7-6, on court 1.
UCLA carried this momentum into singles play, sweeping the first sets and quickly adding to its 1-0 lead. Logan Staggs put the first singles point on the board for the Bruins, downing Adkisson in straights on court 5. Shortly after, No. 77 Sell dispatched Shoki Kasahara, 6-2, 6-1, on court 4. With the win, Sell improved his perfect record this spring to 15-0.
With a commanding 3-0 lead, UCLA was one point away from clinching.
The clincher came from No. 47 Redlicki on court 2. The Bruin junior coasted past Kneale in both sets to win the match and seal the deal for UCLA. The remaining matches were abandoned.

Next up, the Bruins travel to Salt Lake City to take on No. 72 Utah on Sunday at 11 am PDT.
