
Law, Vu Share Lead, Bruins in First

TEMPE, Ariz. - The top-ranked Bruins maintained a one-shot lead after two rounds of the PING/ASU Invitational at the ASU Karsten Golf Course, while junior Bronte Law and freshman Lilia Vu are tied for the individual lead at 9-under.
As a team, UCLA shot a 1-under 287 on Saturday and is 8-under (568) through 36 holes, one shot clear of Arizona State.
Vu, who was four back of Law heading into the second round, birdied four holes on the front side, #3, #5, #6 and #9, to go with gained shots on the 14th and 17th. The lone blemish on her scorecard was a bogey on #12, as her 5-under 67 put her at -9 (135). Law shot a 1-under 71, with birdies on #2, #4 and #13 and bogeys on the 11th and 15th.
Senior Louise Ridderström is tied for 21st at 1-under (143) after shooting a 2-over 74 on Saturday. She birdied her opening hole, as well as the seventh, but made four bogeys on the back nine. Sophomore Erin Choi, playing as an individual, is tied for 32nd (+3, 147) following a 1-under 71. Starting on the 10th, she had two bogeys on the back nine, but just as she did on Friday, had a great second nine with birdies on #2, #3 and #7.
Sophomore Lydia Choi was 3-over (75) in her second round, putting her in a tie for 61st at +11 (155). She made three birdies on the fifth, seventh and 16th to go with four bogeys and a double bogey. Junior Hadas Libman is tied with Choi after shooting a non-team scoring 5-over (77). She birdied her opening hole, as well as #17, but five bogeys and a double.
Sunday's round will be a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on holes #1-5 in the order of Law, Vu, Ridderström, Libman and Lydia Choi. Erin Choi will open on the 16th. Live scoring will be available here.
