KAPALUA, MAUI, HAWAI'I - Sophomore Lilia Vu completed her dominant play at the Kapalua Bay Course, shooting a 1-under 71 on Wednesday to finish at 12-under (204) and win the Anuenue Spring Break Classic by seven shots.

As a team, the Bruins were the only squad under par on Wednesday, winning the team title by 17 strokes. UCLA was 8-under (280) in its final round, which was one shot better than Tuesday and 11 strokes better than Monday, finishing at 12-under (852). The tournament title is the third for the Bruins this season (Stanford Intercollegiate, Gifford Great 8 Collegiate Match Play) and the second in a row. UCLA tore up the par 5s on the Bay Course, going 26-under. The Bruins also led the field with 58 birdies, as well as par-3 (+10) and par-4 (+13) scoring.

Vu posted her second-straight, stroke-play victory (Bruin Wave Invitational), getting off to another strong start on Wednesday with birdies on #1 and #2. She also gained strokes on #6, #9, #10 and #15 to go with five bogeys. Vu's 12-under, 54-hole total was the second-best score in Bruin history. She led all players in par-4 scoring (-4, only player under par), par-5 scoring (-11) and birdies made (18).

Freshman Mariel Galdiano closed with a career-low round of 67 (-5) to finish solo fourth at 3-under (213). She played the 14th through 16th holes in 4-under, making birdies on #14 and #16 and an eagle on #15. Galdiano added birdies on #6 and #7, with her lone blemish coming on a bogey on the eighth. It marked her fourth Top Five finish of the season.

Junior Erin Choi continued her stellar play of late, posting a career-best T-6 finish (E, 216). She fired a 2-under 70 on Wednesday, making four birdies on #3, #5, #13 and #15 to go with two bogeys. Choi was a field-best 1-under in par-3 scoring.

Sophomore Bethany Wu tied for 12th (+3, 219) after an even-par 72 in her final round. She made three birdies on #13, #15 and #18, one bogey and one double. Freshman Clare Legaspi tied for 25th (+9, 225), shooting her third-straight, 3-over 75. She made four birdies (#4, #6, #10 and #18), four bogeys and a triple.

Leading the three individuals was junior Joo Seo, who had the shot of the day with an ace on the par-3 17th. She also added a birdie on #13, six bogeys and a double for a 5-over 77. Seo tied for 37th (+14, 230). Junior Lydia Choi tied for 44th (+16, 232) after a 5-over 77 on Wednesday. She birdied her opening hole, #15, as well as the sixth, to go with seven bogeys. Senior Hadas Libman tied for 53rd (+19, 235) following an 8-over 80. She birdied her first hole, #15, making seven bogeys and a double.

The next tournament for the Bruins will be the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif. (April 9-11).
