The Bruins advanced to the semifinals of the Pac-12 Championship with a 5-0 win over Utah on Thursday afternoon.

STANFORD, Calif.ย -- No. 1 UCLA extended its school-record dual match winning streak to 27ย on Thursdayย afternoon with a 5-0ย sweep over No. 8 Utah (5-11) in the Bruins' first match of the 2018 Pac-12 Championship at Stanford's Beach Volleyball Stadium.
The Bruins, who improved to 32-3 on the year, return to action tomorrow against the hosts, No. 4 Stanford, tomorrow at 1:15 p.m. PT in the second semifinal on the Pac-12 Networks. The Cardinal advanced with a 4-1 win over No. 5 Arizona.
The Bruins opened the dual with Utah with a win on court four as senior Elise Zappiaย and freshman Mac May took down Utah's Berkeley Oblad and Laugaย Gauta, 21-13, 21-15.
On court five, the Bruins took a 2-0 lead as junior Izzy Carey and freshman Megan Muretย extended their school-recordย winning streak to 27 matches, defeating Utah's Brianna Doehrmannย and Lauren Sproule, 21-15, 21-12.
Juniors Megan McNamara and Nicole McNamara sealed the dual match victory with a straight-set win on court one over the Utes' Adora Anaeย and Daniย Burton, 21-12, 21-13.
On court two,ย junior Sarah Sponcil and sophomore Lily Justine defeated Utah's Bailey Choy and Tawneeย Luafalemana, 21-11, 21-7, to put UCLA up 4-0.
Sophomoresย Madi Yeomans and Savvy Simoย completed the sweep on court three with a 21-14, 24-22 victory over Melissa Powell and Kenzieย Koerber.
