Sophomore Quinten Osborne again led the Bruins with a career-high-tying four goals in the win over the Sagehens.

Sophomore Quinten Osborne led 10 different Bruins in scoring with a career-high-tying four goals while redshirt junior Jonathan Van De Velde got the start and registered nine saves while allowing five goals. Freshman Danny Roland played the entire second half and recorded a season-best eight saves while surrendering five goals.
The Bruins held a 5-3 lead at the end of the first quarter. For the third straight game, UCLA opened the scoring with a penalty goal, this time by freshman Matthew Kacura (7:35). After a score by Pomona-Pitzer, senior Austin Rone (5:24) scored on a counter to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead. A power play goal (4:08) by the Sagehens was answered by a power play goal from freshman Peter Lovas (3:38) to make it 3-2 UCLA. After another power play goal from Pomona-Pitzer (3:04) tied it at 3-3, redshirt junior Raphael Raede (2:38) scored a power play goal on a one-timer that gave UCLA the lead for good. The Bruins tacked on one more goal from the front court by Molthen (0:18) to end the scoring in the first.
UCLA built a 10-5 lead by halftime. Senior Warren Snyder (6:57) scored on a power play and Rone (6:07) added his second from the front court to push the lead to 7-3. Osborne scored his first on a power play (5:00) to make it an 8-3 advantage. The two teams would trade two goals each to end the first half scoring. Redshirt junior Eric Goldenberg scored from the front court (1:45) and Osborne added his second of the game from set (1:07) for the Bruins.
The third period was the calmest of the four on the offensive front with both teams scoring twice. UCLA got a counter score from sophomore Luke Henriksson (6:26) and Lovas scored his second of the game on a front court strike (2:35) to send the Bruins into the fourth period with a 12-7 lead.
UCLA put six goals on the board in the final period while allowing the Sagehens to score three more. Osborne completed his hat trick with a backhanded shot from two meters (7:02) and then notched his fourth from set (4:56) to put UCLA up 14-8. Freshman Michael Graner (4:06) scored his first of the game on a power play to make it 15-9. Kacura (3:34 and 2:12) sandwiched two goals between one from Lovas (2:59), which gave both players a hat trick and provided the 18-10 final.
