Bruins Fifth After Day Two at Southern Highlands

LAS VEGAS - After 36 holes at the Southern Highlands Golf Club, the Bruins sit in fifth place (+10, 586) at the Southern Highlands Collegiate. UCLA shot a 5-over 293 for the second day in a row.
Junior Devon Bling remains the top Bruin, as he is tied for fourth (-3, 141). He shot a 1-over 73 on Monday, making a birdie on the seventh and two bogeys. Senior Hidetoshi Yoshihara is in 10th place (-1, 143). He posted an even-par 72 on three birdies (No. 9, 12 and 18) and three bogeys.
Sophomore Bryan Wiyang Teoh was the lone Bruin to shoot under par in round two. He fired a 1-under 71, six shots better than Sunday, making four birdies (No. 1, 5, 13 and 16) and three bogeys. Teoh is tied for 27th (+4, 148). Junior Eddy Lai is tied for 74th (+11, 155), shooting a 5-over 77 on a ninth-hole birdie, two bogeys and two doubles. Freshman Tony Hendricks is tied for 77th (+13, 157), making a 13th-hole birdie, four bogeys and a 10 in an 8-over 80.
The Bruins begin their final round on Tuesday off the first tee at 9:50 a.m. in the order of Hendricks, Lai, Teoh, Yoshihara and Bling.
