STOCKTON, Calif. --ย No. 2 UCLA (20-1) remained undefeated on the road (5-0) with a 17-8 victory at No. 17 Pacific (3-8) on Sunday afternoon at Chris Kjeldsen Pool. UCLA improved to 28-0 all-time against the Tigers.

The Bruins were led by redshirt senior Maddie Musselmanย and freshman Emma Lineback, both of whom scored hat tricks. While they were the only two Bruins to score multiple goals, a total of 13 different Bruins scored in the contest. With the three goals against the Tigers, Musselman tied Kelly Rulonย with 237 goals atop the UCLA all-time career scoring list and is tied for 15th all-time in the MPSF.

Redshirt junior goalkeeper Georgia Phillips got the start in the cage and went the distance, recording nine saves while allowing eight goals.

Mariana Duarte led Pacific with a game-high four goals.

PERIOD ONE
>ย UCLA outscored Pacific 6-2ย in the opening period.
> Musselman opened the scoring with back-to-back goals in the first minute of the game (7:34 and 7:08).
> Pacific would tie it up at 2-2 with two straight goals (6:51 and 6:03).
> The Bruins then reeled off four straight, including oneย goal each from junior Hannah Palmer (5:04),ย freshman Nicole Struss (4:21), redshirt sophomore Alex Peros (3:23), and senior Ava Johnson (0:03).

PERIOD TWO
> Both teams battled to a 2-2 draw inย the second period.
> Pacific scored the first two goals of the quarter (6:47 and 6:02) to trim the Bruins' lead to 6-4.
> UCLA answered with four straight to take a commanding lead at 10-4, but just two of the goals were scored in the second period.
> Senior Bella Wentzelย scored a power play goal (4:20) and sophomore Malia Allen scored a buzzer beater (0:01) to end the scoring in the period
> UCLA led Pacific, 8-4, at the break.

PERIOD THREE
> The Bruins outscored the Tigers 5-2 inย the third period to lead 13-6 heading into the final frame.
> Lineback opened the scoring in the third with her first of the game on a power play (7:17), followed by another power play score from Musselmanย (6:44) to complete her hat trick.
> After a power play goal for Pacific (6:21), the Bruins went on a 5-0 scoring run to put the game out of reach. Lineback scored her second (3:04), freshman Grace Myers scored her first (2:11) and then Lineback followed with another one to complete her hat trick (1:14), ending the scoring in the third.

PERIOD FOUR
> UCLA outscored Pacific 4-2 in the fourth periodย to provide the 17-8 final score.
> Senior Val Ayala opened the scoring in the fourth with her first goal (7:39), followed by a strike from freshman Molly Renner (6:02) to push the lead to 15-6.
> After a power play goal by the Tigers (4:05), seniors Katrina Drake (3:25) and Bella Baiaย (0:49) each scored on a 6-on-5 opportunity to extend the lead to 17-7.
> Pacific'sย Toula Falvey scored the final goal of the gameย with 0:17 left in the contest.

The Bruins host UC Irvine in their final non-conference game of the regular season at 1:00 p.m. PT on Friday, Mar. 11.
