No. 23 Swim and Dive Set for Duals at ASU, Arizona

LOS ANGELES โ€“ The No. 23 UCLA swim and dive team returns to action this weekend with two dual meets in Arizona. The Bruins will take on No. 21 Arizona State on Friday, November 3 at 2 p.m. PT in Tempe, Arizona, and Arizona on Saturday November 4 at noon PT in Tucson, Arizona.ย 

The two meets mark the Bruins (3-0) second and third duals against a fellow Pac-12 school this season. UCLA took down Washington State back on October 13 in Pullman, Washington 153-109. ย ย ย 

Heading into the weekend of competition, UCLA boasts a winning record against both Arizona schools. The Bruins lead the all-time series against the Sun Devils 28-11-1, while UCLA also leads the all-time series against Arizona as well, 22-19. Friday's dual against Arizona State will be ranked contest as both the Bruins (No. 23), and the Sun Devils (No. 21) are ranked in the latest College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) rankings.ย 

The Bruins took down both schools at the Spieker Aquatics Center in 2022. UCLA beat Arizona 177-123 and took down ASU 183-116 on back-to-back days last November. Against Arizona the Bruins won 10 of 16 events, including nine of the 12 individual events. UCLA then took The Bruins then took 11 of 16 events overall over the Sun Devils, including sweeps in the relays, diving, backstroke, and breaststroke events.

UCLA has finished first in every competition it's entered so far this season, taking dual meets over Washington State, UCSB and most recently Illinois at Spieker. The Bruins also finished first while competing at the five-team Fresno State Invite to open the year.
