UCLA Rallies to Defeat Oklahoma, 3-1

NORMAN, Okla. โ The UCLA women's volleyball team rallied from down 21-16 in the fourth set to defeat Oklahoma, 3-1, in McCasland Field House Saturday afternoon.

Set scores were 25-19, 22-25, 26-24 and 27-25.

Senior outside hitter Iman Ndiaye sparked the fourth-set comeback with three kills and a block to bring the Bruins (8-2) within one, 22-21. A block by Anna Dodson and service ace by Mokihana Tufono gave UCLA its first lead since the 12-11 mark of the set.

With a Sooners (6-3) set point on the line at 25-24, Ashley Mullen used the element of surprise with her first dump kill of the match to knot things up. Grayce Olson and Ndiaye went on to collect the next two points on kills to secure the victory.

Olson led UCLA with 16 kills at a .289 hitting percentage and set a career high with eight digs. Ndiaye recorded the first double-double of her career with 16 kills at an efficient .323 clip and 10 digs. Middle blocker Desiree Becker tallied a team-high seven blocks.

With today's win, UCLA closes its preseason with an 8-2 record. The Bruins open conference play versus crosstown rival USC on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. (PT) in their first match of the year at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom.
