Andre Ochoa Earns United Soccer Coaches All-North Region Honors

LOS ANGELESAndre Ochoa has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region second team, it was announced on Tuesday morning. Ochoa, a senior midfielder from Anaheim, California, has now earned All-Region honors twice in his three seasons in Westwood.

Ochoa appeared in all 19 games for the Bruins during his senior season in Westwood. UCLA's No. 8 tallied two goals and one assist in 2024, bringing his total tally to nine goals and 12 assists (30 points) over his three-year Bruin career. Ochoa played all 90 minutes or more nine times during the 2024 season and at least 80 minutes 11 times. Over the course of his three seasons at UCLA, Ochoa played in 58 games, starting 54 of those.   

Ochoa was also named to the All-Big Ten first team at the close of the conference season, marking the first UCLA men's soccer player to earn Big Ten first-team honors. The designation is his third all-conference honor all time and first first-team selection. Ochoa was also named a Pac-12 Conference honorable mention selection in 2023 and earned a second-team all-conference honor in 2021. Additionally, Ochoa was an honoree for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, which honors student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
