FIELD RESULTS
Senior Kris Emig started things off for the Bruin men in the hammer throw, claiming first in the field event. Emig recorded a mark of 65.79m (215' 10") to secure the victory.

The Bruins went on to sweep the women's hammer event; Mayyi Mahama captured gold for the second-consecutive year at UCLA's home meet with her mark of 59.22m (194' 3"). Lyvante Su'emai (57.62m, 189' 0") and Jillian Stafford (56.50m, 185' 4") joined the graduate student on the podium in the hammer throw.

Graduate thrower Federica Botter picked up right where she left off in the women's javelin throw. She threw 54.91m (180' 2") to launch herself to a comfortable first-place finish. With the result, Botter sits second in the NCAA in the javelin event early this outdoor season.

TRACK RESULTS
UCLA continued its dominance as the first track event got going; senior Rose Pittman (4:23.79) and sophomore Bella Browne (4:29.60) claimed first and third, respectively, in the women's 1500m to start the Distance Carnival.

The Bruins swept the men's 1500m event next; Tristan Amell (3:47.14) led the way for the Bruins, followed by Michael Mireles (3:48.23) and Angus Harrington (3:50.19).

Mia Kane paced the women's 3000m steeplechase Friday evening; her 10:04.61 mark scorched the competition in her long-distance event debut. Her finish lands Kane second on UCLA's outdoor all-time top-10 list and makes her the current NCAA leader for the women's steeple in the 2024 season.

In the women's 10,000m race, Annika Salz held off an opposing push in the last 200m to capture second place in the distance event. Salz finished in 37:01.44.
