Women’s Golf Places Fourth at Pac-12 Championships

PULLMAN, Wash. – The No. 4 UCLA women's golf team placed fourth at the Pac-12 Championships with a score of 12-under 852 at Palouse Ridge Golf Course Tuesday.
The Bruins finished the tournament strong with rounds of 12-under 276 and 11-under 277 on the final two days. Junior Zoe Antoinette Campos was UCLA's top golfer, placing seventh for the second year in a row 4-under (73-70-69).
No. 1 Stanford won the Pac-12 Championships by eight strokes at 28-under. USC finished runner-up at 20-under. The Trojans' Catherine Park secured the individual Pac-12 title by five strokes at 15-under (70-64-67).
Sophomore Meghan Royal joined Campos in the top 10, tying for ninth at 3-under (75-70-68). Royal climbed 12 spots on day three behind five birdies and just one bogey.
Natalie Vo finished the tournament 1-under thanks to a 4-under 68 and 1-under in her last two rounds. She tied for 16th. Kate Villegas was a big riser on day three moving up eight spots to finish tied for 24th at 1-over after firing a 70 in her final round.
Caroline Canales saved her best round of the tournament for last with a 2-under 70 featuring seven birdies.
UCLA awaits the results of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Selection Show tomorrow on Wednesday, April 24. The Bruins will be heading to one of six locations for NCAA Regionals. The Selection Show will be aired on the Golf Channel tomorrow from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (PT).
