Women’s Golf Places T-6th at Nanea Invitational

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – The No. 15 UCLA women's golf team finished tied for sixth with an even-par score of 876 (288-293-295) at the Nanea Invitational on Wednesday. The Bruins shot +3, 295 on their final day at Nanea Golf Club.
No. 1-ranked Stanford won the team title with a score of -44, 832, finishing 19 strokes ahead of runner-up No. 21 Arizona State. UCLA placed ahead of Oregon State, San Jose State, Washington and Hawai'i in the 11-team field, moving the Bruins' head-to-head record to 24-13-3 to close the fall season.
Sophomore Angela Liu and freshman Kacey Ly shot UCLA's lowest rounds on Wednesday with a par of even-par 73s. Liu and Ly each recorded two birdies.
Sophomore Jenny Lee was the Bruins' top individual finisher at the 60-player event with a final 54-hole score of -3, 216 (69-72-75) to finish in a tie for 16th. Lee did not produce a single top-20 result as a freshman at Baylor last season prior to transferring to UCLA in Summer 2025. She now has two top-20 finishes, including a medal, over her first four competitions as a Bruin.
Liu tied for 22nd at -1, 218 (70-75-73) while senior Meghan Royal tied for 26th at E, 219 (75-70-74).
The Bruins enter hibernation for the next two months before beginning the second half of their season in Spring 2026. UCLA's next competition is the annual Battle of LA, which is a friendly match against crosstown rival USC. The fourth edition of the Battle of LA will take place on Friday, Jan. 23 at Rancho La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, Calif.

UCLA (-3; 288-293) rose one spot into a tie for fifth after shooting +1, 293 in round two of the Nanea Invitational at Nanea Golf Club on Tuesday. The Bruins are 19 strokes back of first-place No. 21 Arizona State (-22).
Sophomore Jenny Lee fired a second consecutive under-par round of -1, 72 on day two. Lee, who started her second round on the par-5 6th, was bogey-free and sitting at 5-under through 16 before dropping four strokes on her final two holes, the par-5 4th and par-4 5th. The performance marked Lee's sixth under-par score over the last three tournaments after recording just two over her 15 total rounds as a freshman at Baylor last season.
Lee remains in sixth place at -5 (69-72) for the tournament. She trails clubhouse leader Anna Davis from Auburn by five strokes entering tomorrow's final round.
Senior Meghan Royal shot UCLA's lowest score of the day with a -3, 70 featuring six birdies. She is in a tie for 23rd at -1 (75-70).
The Bruins tee off the third and final round tomorrow in a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. (PT). The Nanea Invitational marks UCLA's final competition of the Fall 2025 season.

UCLA shot -4, 288 in the opening round of the Nanea Invitational hosted at Nanea Golf Club on Monday. The Bruins are tied for sixth in the 11-team field and trail clubhouse leader No. 6 Auburn (-21, 271) by 17 strokes.
Sophomore transfer Jenny Lee led all Bruins in the field, shooting a -4, 69 to open her week. She had a team-high six birdies in her first round.
Lee is currently sitting in a tie for sixth place in the 60-player field. She is four strokes back of the individual lead, which is held by Auburn's Charlotte Cantonis.
