Solans Ormo Selected UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week Presented by La Victoria
October 29, 2025 | Men's Soccer
LOS ANGELES – Redshirt-sophomore Sergi Solans Ormo of UCLA Men's Soccer has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week presented by La Victoria for athletic competitions held between Oct. 21-27.
Solans Ormo tallied three goals in a 5-2 win over Rutgers on Friday night at Wallis Annenberg Stadium, and also added an assist to total seven points on the night.
His three goals on the night mark the 28th time that a Bruin has scored at least three goals in a game, dating back to when individual statistics were first recorded in 1983. He becomes the first Bruin since Milan Iloski scored five goals in a win over San Diego State in 2019 to score at least three goals in a game. Solans Ormo's first of three goals on the night came in the 39th minute, followed by two in quick succession in the second half. His second came at the 55:35 mark, and then he completed the hat trick one minute and 59 seconds later when he scored his third with 57:34 on the clock. The Spaniard's seven points on the night are the 12th time a Bruin has tallied at least seven points in a single game.
Solans Ormo secures his first-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
