Solans Ormo Selected UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week Presented by La Victoria

LOS ANGELES – Redshirt-sophomore Sergi Solans Ormo of UCLA Men's Soccer has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week presented by La Victoria for athletic competitions held between Nov. 11-17.
Solans Ormo led the Bruins to their first-ever Big Ten Tournament title on Sunday. The redshirt sophomore was named Most Outstanding Player of the tournament after tallying four goals and two assists on the week. Solans Ormo propelled the Bruins past No. 1 Maryland in the quarterfinal round with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win, before tallying his third hat trick of the season in the Big Ten Tournament final to lead UCLA past Michigan 5-0.
With his third hat trick of the season, Solans Ormo sets a new program record for most hat tricks in a single season in UCLA men's soccer history with three. The Spaniard now sits on 16 goals for the season, the second-most in the country.
Solans Ormo secures his second-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
