Leverette Selected in Fourth Round of MLV Draft
November 24, 2025 | Women's Volleyball
LOS ANGELES โ Senior outside hitter Cheridyn Leverette was selected in the fourth round of the Major League Volleyball (MLV) by the Orlando Valkyries.
ย
The 2024 AVCA Honorable Mention All-American was selected with the 31st overall pick on Monday morning by the reigning 2025 MLV Champions. Leverette becomes the first UCLA player ever drafted into the MLV and will join fellow Bruin Audrey Pak, who signed with the Columbus Fury in August.
ย
Leverette's rise to national prominence began with her breakout 2024 campaign, where she earned AVCA All-America Honorable Mention and First Team All-Big Ten honors. She established herself as a reliable starter in 2023, finishing third on the team with 288 kills while leading in service aces. By 2024, she had become UCLA's offensive centerpiece, topping the Bruins in five statistical categories, recording 435 kills, and delivering three 20-plus kill performances, including a career-best 29 kills at Purdue, the highest single-match total by a Bruin in the past three years. Her consistency was unmatched, notching double-digit kills in 27 of 28 matches and becoming just the fifth Bruin in the rally scoring era to post 20 consecutive matches in double figures.
ย
In her senior season, Leverette has continued to shine, leading UCLA with 4.12 points per set and 3.29 kills per set. She has tallied double-digit kills in 24 matches, including three 20-kill outings and four matches surpassing the 20-point mark.
ย
Leverette and the Bruins will wrap up their regular season this week with a two-match road trip in Michigan, beginning against the Wolverines on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 4 p.m. (PT), followed by a matchup at Michigan State on Friday, Nov. 28 at 10 a.m. (PT).
