Rowing Advances to Sunday Racing at Big Ten Championships

May 17, 2025 | Women's Rowing

Indianapolis, Ind. – Saturday's racing wrapped with the Bruins advancing six crews to their respective Petite Finals at the 2025 Big Ten Championships; No. 25 UCLA's fourth varsity 8+ will be racing in the grand final Sunday.

The Bruins faced stiff competition, seeing five of the six CRCA Top 25 opponents on the first day of the conference championship regatta. Race times were shifted an hour due to incoming inclement weather; Saturday's action began in the early morning with a temperature of 62 degrees and a light crosswind pushing boats towards their port side throughout the day. The water remained choppy and the crosswind picked up as crews battled for the chance at a conference title.

All championship races will be broadcast via Big Ten Network starting at 6 a.m. PT on Sunday.
