Lutkemeyer Named to Academic All-America® Team

June 03, 2025 | Women's Tennis

AUSTIN, Texas – Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer of the UCLA women's tennis team earned her second Academic All-America® selection in as many years Tuesday, College Sports Communicators announced.

Lutkemeyer was voted onto the third team, repeating her 2024 accomplishment. She became just the second two-time honoree in program history, joining Karen Dewis.

From 1983-2022, women's tennis Academic All-Americans were honored as part of the at-large presentation. Lutkemeyer (third team in 2024), Tian Fangran (first team in 2024), Elise Wagle (second team in 2024), Annette Goulak (second team in 2021), Amanda Basica (third team in 2000), Annica Cooper (second team in 1999) and Dewis (third team in 1984 and first team in 1983) made the team prior to this year.

An environmental science major, Lutkemeyer has a 3.63 cumulative grade-point average. On the court, the junior had a breakout 2024-25 season. One year removed from playing on the fourth and fifth singles courts, Lutkemeyer made the jump to Court 1. She went 10-4 in her top-court singles matches, 14-6 on Courts 1 and 2 and 27-10 counting tournament play. Lutkemeyer made her NCAA Championships singles tournament debut during the fall, making the second round. She climbed to a career-best No. 16 in the ITA singles rankings and finished at No. 33, thanks in large part to her 13 ranked victories.

Lutkemeyer's campaign also included a standout doubles display. She went 29-10 overall in doubles action and 17-6 in dual-match play. Lutkemeyer clinched six doubles points alongside her most frequent partner, Ahmani Guichard.
