Football Attends Big Ten Media Day in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS โ UCLA head coach DeShaun Foster and student-athletes Garrett DiGiorgio, Nico Iamaleava and JonJon Vaughns served as the football program's representatives at Big Ten Football Media Days on Thursday, hosted at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.

The Bruins' trio, along with Coach Foster, participated in numerous interviews with members of print, broadcast and online media, in addition to taping hype videos to be used during the football season by the conference's national broadcast partners. The Alice and Nahum Lainer Family Director of Athletics Martin Jarmond was also in attendance, partaking in several interviews.

Coach Foster opened his Media Day rotation onstage with a 10-minute press conference (watch here). Foster detailed his love for his alma mater, the program's successful offseason, recruiting efforts and aspirations for his second year at the helm of the program.

Thursday's day-long event in Las Vegas marked the Bruins' second time participating in the Big Ten's annual football media day. UCLA will play a nine-game Big Ten schedule, starting Week 4 at Northwestern on Sept. 27. The Bruins' first home Big Ten contest will be Week 5 versus Penn State on Oct. 4 in The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.

Foster debuted as head coach by guiding UCLA through its initial season in the Big Ten in 2024. The Bruins earned their program's first-ever Big Ten win at Rutgers and rode that showing to a three-game win streak that also included victories at Nebraska and versus Iowa. UCLA concluded the year with a 5-7 record.
UCLA opens the 2025 season at home in 36ย days at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California versus Utah on Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. (PT).
