Gameday Information - UCLA vs. Utah

The UCLA football team hosts Utah for its 2025 season opener on Saturday, Aug. 30 at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Kickoff for the non-conference contest is set for 8 p.m. (PT). The game will be televised on FOX with broadcasters Connor Onion (play-by-play) and Mark Helfrich (analyst) on call. Fans can tune their radio stations to KABC-AM 790, which will serve as the new exclusive home for UCLA Athletics, and listen to longtime play-by-play announcer Josh Lewin and former UCLA quarterbacks Matt Stevens (analyst) and Wayne Cook (sideline reporter).

Tickets
Tickets to Saturday night's game can be purchased online atย uclabruins.com/tickets. UCLA Athletics is pleased to welcome First Responders to the Rose Bowl on Saturday at a discounted price of $5.00 as a sign of gratitude for their heroics in fighting the Palisades and Altadena Fires. Parking
Parking lots for UCLA vs. Utah will open at 2 p.m. Parking is sold by the City of Pasadena for $38 per car in advance and $43 on game day and can beย purchased here. Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead andย pre-purchase parking online for a $5 discount off on-site pricing. RV parking is located on West drive. No overnight RV parking is available.

Gameday parking is also available at the Parsons complex parking lot in Pasadena. Access to the lot is at 100 W. Walnut Street, off Fair Oaks Avenue. The free shuttle runs continuously beginning three hours prior to kickoff until one hour following the conclusion of the game. Parking in the Parsons lot can be purchased on-site on gameday for a maximum of $24.

Fan Zone
The Rose Bowl, ranked by ESPN in 2024 as the No. 2 college football stadium, offers one of the best tailgating experiences in college football. The Area H Fan Zone opens to all fans from 3:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. and is located in Lot H, just outside Gates A and B. The Fan Zone includes a wide variety of exciting gameday experiences, such as tailgating parties, food vendors, activities, exhibits, beer gardens, musical performances and more.

BruinFest/REVELxp
Steps away from the stadium along the North side near Gates E & N is BruinFest, which is free and open to the public. BruinFest opens at 2:00 p.m. and features beer gardens, games, inflatables and live music beginning at 5:30 p.m. Fans can enhance their pre-game experience with hassle-free, premium full-service tailgates courtesy of REVELxp. Located within BruinFest, REVELxp handles everything from setup to takedown of tailgate gear, coordinates food and beverage services via a variety of premium catering options in the area. Bruin Walk
Fans are encouraged to cheer on the Bruins as they arrive at the edge of the Area H Fan Zone on Rosemont Avenue and walk through the Fan Zone into the Rose Bowl Stadium by Gate A. The Bruins are scheduled to arrive at Area H, where they will be greeted by the UCLA Spirit Squad at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. The UCLA Marching Band, as well as the UCLA Alumni Band will also perform at Bruin Walk.ย

Pregame Entertainment
Rose Bowl gates open at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment options include a joint performance with the UCLA Spirit Squad and Alumni Band at 6:30 p.m. in Area H. The Alumni Band will also perform at 7:15 p.m. at the Court of Champions. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 7:30 p.m. Fans will receive Bruin Blue pom poms upon entering the Rose Bowl.

Honorary Captains
Four UCLA football alumni, including three serving as Fire Captains in the greater Los Angeles Area, will be featured as Honorary Captains for the Bruins' season-opening contest versus Utah. Pasadena Fire Captains Manuel White and Phillip Ward, LA County Fire Captain Cheyane Caldwell and former Bruin walk-on Mark Reynosa will all be on hand.

Reynosa was a walk-on tailback/punt returner for the Bruins from 1997-98 after transferring from Saddleback Community College, where he was a junior college national champion. Reynosa, a native of Sylmar, Calif., was an Athletic Director's Honor Roll recipient while at UCLA. Reynosa joins UCLA Saturday evening in the midst of courageously battling glioblastoma, a fast-growing form of brain cancer, and hopes to inspire others facing a similar fight.

White, who played tailback for the Bruins from 2000-04, posted two 100-yard rushing performances and was a team captain in his final two seasons under head coach Karl Dorrell. As a senior in 2004, White rushed for a career-high 145 yards on 20 carries versus Oklahoma State. He was later selected in the fourth round with the 120th overall pick by the Washington Redskins in the 2005 NFL Draft.

Ward totaled 131 tackles (91-40-131) and 10.0 sacks over his four-year career as an outside linebacker at UCLA from 1993-96. Ward beat the Trojans all four years he attended UCLA and helped the Bruins to a Rose Bowl berth in his redshirt freshman season in 1993. After graduating with a degree in sociology, Ward played three years in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Rams and New Orleans Saints.

Caldwell was a two-way player for UCLA from 1995-98, starting his career at fullback before making the switch to linebacker his senior year. Caldwell was victorious against USC all four years as a Bruin and scored his first career touchdown against the No. 11-ranked Trojans as a true freshman in 1995. He finished his career with 69 rushing yards on 24 carries and 113 receiving yards on 10 catches.

Halftime entertainment will include a performance by the Varsity Spirit Cheer Squad, a national youth cheerleading organization.

New this season is a gameday light show during the third quarter break. Fans can participate by opening the UCLA Bruins Mobile App, clicking the "Light Show" button in the bottom navigation bar and holding their phone up. The UCLA Bruins Mobile App is available for download in the Apple Store and Google Play, free of charge. The app also allows fans to receive live score updates during events and receive push notifications about breaking news and more.ย
