
Men's Soccer Falls at No. 3 Indiana 4-2

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The UCLA men's soccer team fell 4-2 at No. 3 Indiana on Friday evening on the campus of Indiana. Sebastian Rincon scored for the Bruins in the loss.
Ryan Tiltack tallied a career-high 10 saves in goal for the Bruins (2-4-2, 2-1-0 Big Ten), while Adrian Aguilar and Sebastian Rincon led UCLA's offense with two shots apiece. As for the Hoosiers (7-2-1, 2-2-0 Big Ten), Collins Oduro led the team with seven shots.
The Hoosiers started the game strongly, tallying three goals in the opening 20 minutes of action. Palmer Ault opened the scoring in the sixth minute of action before Clay Murador recorded Indiana's second in the 16th minute. Three minutes later, Easton Bogard scored the third to put the Hoosiers up 3-0.
Sergi Solans Ormo got the Bruins back in the game in the 27th minute of action viaan own goal from the Hoosiers. The redshirt sophomore fired a shot that hit off the post and ricocheted off the Indiana keeper and into the back of the net, making it 3-1 in favor of Indiana.
The Bruins continued to battle back towards the end of the first half. Solans Ormo forced a save in the 37th minute, while Schinieder Mimy had a chance blocked in the 44th minute, and Indiana took a 3-1 lead into the halftime break.
UCLA started the second half on the front foot, and were rewarded for their possession with a goal by Rincon in the 54th minute. Substitute Francis Bonsu carried the ball into the Indiana 18-yard box, before passing the ball off to Schinieder, who sent the ball across the box to Rincon, who curled a shot into the top left corner of the goal, getting the Bruins within one, 3-2.
Tiltack kept the Bruins in the game throughout the second half, making five huge saves throughout the half. With the Bruins down a goal, Tiltack made back-to-back saves in the 71st minute to keep UCLA in it.
The Toronto, Canada native recorded 10 saves on the night, tied for fifth-most in school history in a single game. The last time a Bruin keeper recorded 10 or more assists was on November 21, 2021, when Nate Crockford recorded 10 assists against Duke in the NCAA Tournament second round.
Indiana added a fourth goal with four seconds left from the penalty spot and earned a 4-2 win over the Bruins.
