No. 2 UCLA Faces No. 8 Iowa in Pauley Sunday

LOS ANGELES – No. 2-ranked UCLA (20-1, 10-0 B1G) welcomes the No. 8-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes (18-3, 9-1 B1G) in a top 10 battle in Los Angeles this Sunday.
The Bruins and Hawkeyes rank one and two in the conference, respectively, just over the halfway mark of B1G contests. Sunday's bout between the top conference contenders will tip off at 1 p.m. PT on FOX.

MATCHUP HISTORY: vs. Iowa Hawkeyes
• The Bruins are 2-1 against the Hawkeyes in the all-time series, including a 2-0 record under head coach Cori Close.
• UCLA squeaked out a 67-65 win over Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in 2025; the Bruins were led to victory by a 22-point, 12-rebound double-double from center Lauren Betts.
LAST TIME OUT: W, 80-67 at Illinois (Jan. 28)
• The Bruins battled adversity on the road against the Fighting Illini, fending off a second-half comeback attempt by Illinois.
• Senior Lauren Betts (23 PTS, 9 REB), who found herself with three fouls in four minutes of first quarter play, sat the majority of the first half but ended up leading the Bruins in scoring and rebounding with a strong second half.
Bruins got into double figures in Wednesday's win; freshman Sienna Betts had a strong showing in her sister's absence, scoring 10 points and grabbing six rebounds. • UCLA opened the 2025-26 season ranked No. 3 in the Associated Press Top 25 Women's Basketball Poll, released Oct. 14. The Bruins had a number of top 15 matchups in November: No. 6 Oklahoma (Nov. 10), No. 11 North Carolina (Nov. 13), No. 4 Texas (Nov. 26) and No. 14 Tennessee (Nov. 30), finishing November 3-1 against ranked opponents.
• The Bruins began the year with six of their first eight games being played at neutral site locations. UCLA made the trip to Las Vegas twice in three weeks, first for the WBCA Challenge (Nov. 13-15) and second for the Players Era Women's Championship (Nov. 26-27). The Bruins went 3-1 in Sin City this November.
• UCLA was recognized as the USBWA National Team of the Week after going 3-0 from Nov. 10-15, which included victories over No. 6 Oklahoma and No. 11 North Carolina.
