Jake Bobo to Represent UCLA in Super Bowl LX
February 06, 2026 | Football
The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are set to meet this Sunday, Feb. 8, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. for Super Bowl LX. The UCLA football program will be represented by wide receiver Jake Bobo of the Seahawks, who helped his squad to an NFC Championship two weeks ago.
Fellow Bruin alum Zach Charbonnet was also a key part of the Seahawks' NFC Championship season after leading the squad with 12 rushing touchdowns, but he will be observing Sunday's game from the sideline after suffering a torn ACL during Seattle's divisional round win against the San Francisco 49ers. Charbonnet's dozen rushing scores were tied for sixth-most in the NFL.
Bobo and safety Quentin Lake (Los Angeles Rams) both played during the NFL's conference championship round. Lake, a Rams' team captain, started in the defensive backfield for LA and posted seven tackles and a pass break-up. He played every defensive snap in a tight battle with the Seahawks.
When Bobo sees his first snap, it will mark the 115th all-time appearance by a Bruin in a Super Bowl. That figure ranks top-10 among all NCAA schools.
UCLA has now had a former player on the roster of one or both teams in 52 out of 60 Super Bowls, dating back to linebacker Don Shinnick's outing with the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl I in 1969. That includes streaks of 20 (1980-99) and 11 (2009-19) consecutive Super Bowls.
Bobo appeared in 11 games during the regular season for Seattle, operating as a wideout and on special teams. He reeled in two catches for 20 yards on the season, including a 17-yard touchdown grab against at Arizona on Sept. 25.
However, he saved his most important contribution of the year for the NFC Championship Game against the Rams, as he reeled in a 17-yard touchdown catch early in the third quarter to give Seattle a 24-13 edge, tied for their largest lead of the game. It was Bobo's first-career playoff touchdown, and helped Seattle record a 31-27 victory en route to a Super Bowl berth.
Super Bowl LX is set for a 3:40 p.m. PT kickoff on NBC, with Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth on the call.
