Bilodeau, Dent Honored as All-Big Ten Award Selections

LOS ANGELES โ UCLA senior Tyler Bilodeau has secured third-team All-Big Ten Conference honors, and senior Donovan Dent has been recognized as an honorable mention selection, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Bilodeau, a 6-foot-9 forward from Kennewick, Wash., was one of 15 student-athletes honored as All-Big Ten selections. The Big Ten Conference lists separate all-league teams as chosen by members of the news media and the league's coaches. Bilodeau was named a third-team selection by the media and the coaches, while Dent was chosen as an honorable mention by both entities, as well. Bilodeau was also recognized as one of 18 conference honorees on the Big Ten Men's Basketball Sportsmanship Team.

This marks the second consecutive season in which Bilodeau has been honored as a third-team all-league selection. Last year, Bilodeau was named a third-team All-Big Ten honoree as selected by the coaches.

Heading into this week's Big Ten Tournament, Bilodeau ranks No. 10 among all Big Ten players in scoring (18.0 ppg), No. 1 in 3-point shooting percentage (46.2%, 60-for-130) and No. 5 in overall field goal percentage (51.8%). He also ranks No. 8 in the conference in free throw percentage (86.5%). Bilodeau has been a major part of UCLA's team for the past two seasons, having transferred to the Bruins' program in the summer of 2024 after competing at Oregon State as a freshman and sophomore. He has scored in double figures in 26 of 29 games played this season, netting at least 30 points in three games.

Dent, a 6-foot-2 senior from Riverside, Calif., has averaged 13.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and a team-leading 7.5 assists per game for UCLA. He will enter this upcoming conference tournament ranking No. 4 in the nation in assists per game (7.5 apg) and No. 6 in assist-turnover ratio (3.88). Dent has registered 10 or more assists in eight games, totaling seven double-doubles.

Michigan's Yaxel Lendeborg was honored as the Big Ten Player of the Year, by both the conference's coaches and members of the media. Keaton Wagler of Illinois was recognized as the conference's Freshman of the Year, and Michigan's Aday Mara was named the league's Defensive Player of the Year. Nebraska's Braden Frager was named the Big Ten's Sixth Man of the Year. The media selected Michigan's Dusty May as the Coach of the Year, while the coaches voted Nebraska's Fred Hoiberg as the Coach of the Year.

The Big Ten's All-Conference selections include five representatives on each of the first team, second team and third team. Additional players have been listed this season as third-team selections due to ties in voting. Players receiving a minimum number of votes has been designated as honorable mention selections (seven players in that category this season).

UP NEXT: As the No. 6-seed in this year's Big Ten Tournament, UCLA will take on either No. 11-seed Minnesota or No. 14-seed Rutgers on Thursday evening at approximately 6 p.m. PT (8 p.m. CT). This year's Big Ten Tournament is being hosted at the United Center in Chicago from March 10-15. The Bruins' game this Thursday will be televised by the Big Ten Network.
