The UCLA men's volleyball program stocked its roster with two more top prospects, bringing the total number of incoming freshmen to seven.

Sean O'Malley, a 6-9 outside hitter from Oak Park, IL (Oak Park River Forest HS), and Brett Perrine, a 6-6 outside hitter from Costa Mesa (Newport Harbor HS) have signed National Letters of Intent to attend UCLA next fall, the athletic department announced Thursday.

O'Malley is considered one of the nation's top high school players. He is a three-time USA Volleyball Junior Nationals All-Tournament team member and a two-time all-state performer.

"O'Malley is a real impact player," said Head Coach Al Scates. "He's got a great vertical leap and, at 6-9, will be one of the tallest outside hitters we've ever had. He's a great high-ball hitter and he'll get a lot of sets in our program."

Perrine led Newport Harbor High to the 2003 Sea View League championship and to the second round of the CIF Division I Championship. He has also been an all-tournament team selection at the Orange County Volleyball Tournament of Champions.

"Perrine is a proven winner," said Scates. "He's just the type of player we like to have in our program."

O'Malley and Perrine join five players who signed letters of intent in November: Ian Jackson (Simi Valley HS), Christian Kraft (Granite Bay HS), Shaun Nichols (Granite Bay HS), Ryan Ratelle and Matthew Wade (Mira Costa HS).
