Four-year letterwinner in water polo as a goalkeeper at Rio Americano High School โฆ also a three-year letterwinner in volleyball at RAHS as an outside/opposite hitter for the Raidersย โฆ named All-Capital Valley Conference three years and All-CIF-SJS in 2023 and 2024 โฆ was a First-Team selection (All-America, All-CIF, and All-League) in his senior year โฆ recorded 243 saves, 49 steals, and 47 assists his junior seasonย โฆ led RAHS to its first-ever Capital Valley Conference title in boy's water polo in 2024 (first year of competition was 2009)ย โฆ registered 252 saves, 35 steals, and 32 assists his senior campaignย โฆ was also a two-time All-American (2023 and 2024) and an All-CIF D! Full name: Harper Henry Gardner โฆ born in Sacramento, Calif. โฆ parents are Julie Fowler and Gabriel Gardner โฆ stepmother is Lauren (McFall) Gardner โฆ has two younger brothers, Finn Gardner (15), and Luke Gardner (8), and one younger sister, Grace Gardner (6) โฆ father, Gabriel, was a two-time Olympian (2004 and 2008) and won a gold medal with Team USA in men's volleyballย โฆ stepmother, Lauren, won a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens in synchronized swimming as the team captain of Team USAย โฆ his uncle, Nick Gardner, graduated from UCLA and was a member of the Bruins' men's volleyball team from 2001-02ย โฆ chose UCLA because โI instantly loved the culture and team bond that I was welcomed with on visitations, and appreciated the coaching staff for their commitment to building a connection with me as a player.โ โฆ lists mixed martial artists, Jon Jones and Conor McGregor, NBA Hall of Famer, Michael Jordan, and Tom Brady as theย athletes he admires most โฆ enjoys playing table tennis and board games with his family and doing anything outdoors like spike ball, beach volleyball, swimming, or climbing, in his spare timeย โฆ has yet to declare a major.
