2025 First Team Indoor All-American (Long Jump)

2025
Earned First Team All-America honors after finishing seventh in the long jump at the Indoor NCAA Championships with a mark of 7.65m (25-1.25) ... Scored at the Indoor Big Ten Championships after finishing fifth in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.55m (24-9.25) ... Appeared in seven meets over the course of the year, six during indoor season and one during outdoor season ... Recorded a mark of 7.88m (25-10.25) at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic on Feb. 7, the No. 2 mark in indoor school history ... Won the long jump at the Crossroads of America Invitational on Jan. 24 with a mark of 7.71m (25-3.5). 

2024
Did not compete for the Bruins.
 
2023  
Made a splash in his first meet with the Bruins, jumping 7.35m (24-01.50) at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Invitational in his UCLA debut … Cracked the indoor all-time top 10 list with the mark … Immediately improved on his collegiate-best mark at the Dr. Sander Invite a week later, jumping 7.67m (25-02.00) to win the event … Landed fourth all-time for the Bruins in the indoor record book … Also ran the anchor leg of the 4x400m relay at the New York meet … Did not compete for the Bruins during the outdoor season.

High School
Attended St. John Bosco High School … Competed in track and field all four years, running the 400m and 4x400m, as well as competing in the triple jump and long jump events … Named St. John Bosco’s Most Valuable Player in 2019 and 2022 … Earned Trinity League Field Athlete of the Meet in both 2021 and 2022.

Born in Long Beach, Calif., as the third child in his family … Mother is La Shon ... Has two older sisters Rayven and Ry’Ann … Outside of the track, his hobbies include cooking, gaming, binge-watching and listening to music … Is allergic to chocolate … Decided to attend UCLA because “it has an excellent academic and athletic program close to home” … Lists Michael Powell and Deion Sanders as the athletes he most admires … Related to Edward and Charles O’Bannon, former UCLA men’s basketball student-athletes, and Brendon Davis, who plays professional baseball … Also related to Justyn Martin, a former quarterback on the UCLA football team … Planning to major in psychology.
