Earned three All-America honors over the course of the year, including her first-ever First Team accolade (outdoor 4x400) ... Also earned Second Team All-America honors in the indoor 4x400 and outdoor 4x100 ... Competed individually at the Outdoor NCAA Championships in the 200m, coming in 22nd (23.17) ... Placed 15th in the 200m at NCAA West Regionals with a top time of 22.94 ... Ran 14 indoor and 21 outdoor races for the Bruins during her true freshman campaign … Began her indoor season at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Invitational, running the 60m, 200m and 4x400m relays in her opening weekend with UCLA … Johnson ran a season-best 24.03 in the 200m event at the Don Kirby Invitational on Feb. 11; her mark ranks ninth on UCLA’s indoor all-time top 10 list … Johnson ran anchor on the 4x400m relay at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Invite – the relay team ran a 3:30.86, which is the second-fastest indoor relay in Bruin history … Johnson also anchored the same relay at the NCAA indoor national championships … The Bruins finished 10th overall in the event (3:31.91) … Claimed first in the 200m (23.87) at the Rafer Johnson-Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational on March 25 … Ran UCLA’s top time in the 200m when she recorded a 23.41 at the USC Dual Meet … Placed sixth in the Conference in the 100m; recorded an 11.49 in prelims before running an 11.54 in the final … One of only two Bruins to break the 53 seconds in the 400m (Mt. Born in Long Beach, Calif. to parents Priscilla and Anthony Johnson ... Has a twin brother, Chris, an older brother Dontae, and two older sisters, Mikayla and Kia ... Chose UCLA because “of the amazing atmosphere I felt on my visit. I believe the coaches here will take me far and teammates will push me to be my best” ... Describes greatest pre-UCLA athletic thrill as “winning CIF SS D1 championships in both of my events (400m, 200m). This was a major accomplishment of mine especially because the years before were taken away due to COVID, so coming back and winning my events was the best way to finish off senior year” ... Admires Allyson Felix and Michael Cherry ... Enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as drawing/painting and raising awareness for social fights for African Americans in her free time ... Her twin brother Chris plays football for SDSU as a defensive back ... Plans to major in sociology.
