Competed in eight meets as a true freshman … Indoor: Broke Mike Tully’s longstanding school record that dated back to 1978, clearing 5.73m (18-9.5) at the Don Kirby Invitational to finish first … PR’ed in the 60m hurdles, posting a time of 8.39 in the finals to place sixth … Won the pole vault at the MPSF Indoor Championships, clearing 5.37m (17-7.25) … Captured 10th place and Second Team All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships, clearing 5.58m (18-3.75) … Outdoor: Made his UCLA outdoor debut at the Pac-12 Championships, where he reached 5.36m (17-7) to win his first individual Pac-12 title … Took ninth at the NCAA West Regionals with an effort of 5.31m (17-5) … Was a Second Team All-American after he finished ninth at the NCAA Championships with a mark of 5.60m (18-4.5) … His clearance at the NCAA Championships in Austin put him tied for fourth all-time in UCLA’s outdoor history … UCLA Top-10 Record Books: Indoor: 1st – Pole Vault (5.73m; 18-9.5) … Outdoor: 4th – Pole Vault (5.60m; 18-4.5) … Honors: Indoor Second Team All-American … Outdoor Second Team All-American … Indoor school record-holder … Pac-12 Pole Vault Champion.

Graduated from Davis Senior High School … Won the state title in the pole vault at the CIF state meet, clearing 17 feet, 10 inches, a state-meet record … Also blew away the field by at least two feet … Just the second athlete to ever break 18 feet in the pole vault indoors in January 2018 at the National Pole Vault Summit … His 5.55m (18-2.5) effort in the Arcadia Invitational in April 2018 set the state record and the Norwegian Junior National mark … Cleared 5.46m (17-11) to take first place at the 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays … Recorded a PR of 14.02 in the 110m hurdles to finish second at the CIF State Championship Finals ... State of California high school record holder for the pole vault (both indoor and outdoor).
European Athletics Youth Championships
At the 2018 European Senior Championships, set a Norwegian record with a vault of 5.75m (18-10.25) … Ultimately finished in sixth place, the best sixth-place finisher in European Championships history … In 2016 at the U18 Championships, took Bronze in the pole vault with a mark of 5.05m (16-3.75) … At Norway’s U-20 Championships, took silver in the long jump with a mark of 6.87m (22-6.50).
