Daughter of Bernd and Sabine Sontag โฆ Born in Berlin, Germanyโฆ Has an older sister, Frederike (Freddy) and an older brother, Jonahโฆ Describes her biggest athletic thrill as the first time she played in the European Championship against Lithuaniaโฆ โIt was an extremely close game and there were a lot of fans supporting Lithuania. I was struggling with back pain in the moment, but I played through it. We were down with two minutes left, but we gave it everything we got and ended up winning by five. Iโll always remember this game, because we worked together and gave it our all, which paid off in the endโ โฆ Says Dirk Nowitzki is the famous athlete she most admiresโฆ Enjoys finding good food with friendsโฆ Landed in Westwood because โUCLA made me feel most at home. I get along great with the coaches and I know that they care a lot about my development as a player, but also as a person. The program is great academically and basketball-wise, and it has many off-court activities like giving back to the community that I find admirableโ โฆ She also boasts a creative side and likes to make necklaces, bracelets and earringsโฆ Confident in her knowledge of flags, claiming she could ace a multiple-choice quiz on the flags of different countriesโฆ After graduation, she wants to play professional basketball and become a doctorโฆ Undeclared major.
