
Men's Tennis Opens Pac-10 Action With 6-1 Win at Arizona

TUCSON - The UCLA men's tennis team, tied for No. 5 in the national rankings, opened Pac-10 Conference action with a 6-1 win at the University of Arizona today. With the victory UCLA improves to 3-0 overall and Arizona falls to 0-2. Today's match was the conference opener for both teams.
The Bruins started the match claiming the doubles point by posting victories on all three courts and continued to dominate by posting five straight-set wins in singles play. The only Bruin loss came on court No. 5 where UCLA junior Jong-Min Lee fell 6-2, 6-2 Arizona freshman Caleb Marquardt.
UCLA continues the road trip at the Arizona State University tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 30. The Bruins return home to host the University of New Mexico on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
