
UCLA Sweeps Rutgers in Men's Volleyball

The UCLA men's volleyball team won its third straight match, defeating visiting Rutgers-Newark in Pauley Pavilion Wednesday night.
The Bruins (16-5) won 30-23, 30-20, 30-26 in 80 minutes before 302 spectators.
Junior Ian Burnham led the Bruins with 15 kills (.462) and senior Mark Williams added 10 kills (.500). Both players served a pair of aces.
The Bruins out-blocked the Scarlet Knights, 7-5, out-served them 10 aces to two and hit for a .457 percentage to their opponents' .306.
Juniors Ryan Burrow and Jeremy Hoff led Rutgers with 10 kills each. Hoff hit for a percentage of .438.
The loss dropped Rutgers to a record of 4-15 overall.
The Bruins travel to Long Beach State Sat., Mar. 17 for a key 7:30 p.m. conference match at the Pyramid. UCLA's next home matches will be Mar. 29 and 30 against Hawaii. Both matches start at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
