Senior guard Michelle Greco (LaCrescenta, CA/Crescenta Valley HS) of the UCLA Women's Basketball Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 21-26.

Greco averaged 25.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.5 steals over the weekend against fifth-ranked Stanford and Cal.

Against the Cardinal, Greco scored a game-high 28 points, including 16 in the first half. She also recorded a career-best eight steals and made 10-10 free throws, including two with 27.3 seconds remaining to tie the score at 78.

Against Cal, she recorded her first career double-double, scoring a game-high 23 points and grabbing a career-high 10 rebounds. She also had five steals and set a new UCLA record for consecutive free throws with 32 after hitting her first nine free throws of the contest. Greco ended up just one shy of the Pac-10 record of 33 straight free throws.

Greco leads the Bruin squad and the Pac-10 Conference in scoring with a 19.3 points per game average. She also ranks first in steals with 56.

This is Greco's fourth UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and the sixth of her career.
