
Bruins Win Third Straight Match

The UCLA men's volleyball team won its third straight match by defeating Pacific on the road Friday night.
The Bruins won 28-30, 32-30, 30-27, 30-24 in two hours and 10 minutes before 311 fans at the Spanos Center. The victory raised UCLA's record to 8-7 overall and 5-6 in league play. Pacific fell to 9-7, 6-4.
Junior Chris Pena led the Bruins with 17 kills (.552), followed by Jonathan Acosta and Matt McKinney, who each added 15 kills. Acosta hit. 429.
The Bruins out-hit the Tigers .391 to .325.
Nils Dauburs led the Tigers with 23 kills.
The Bruins travel to Stanford Saturday for a 7 p.m. conference match. Their next home match will be played against LaVerne on Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
