Seattle, Wash. - The UCLA men's soccer team clinched its third consecutive Pac-10 Conference title, coming from behind to defeat Washington, 2-1, in front of 2,520 in Seattle. The game will be aired on Fox Sports Net West 2 on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 5 pm.

In what has nearly become a trademark for UCLA this season, the Bruins overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit and scored two unanswered second-half goals. A give-and-go play from sophomore forward Chad Barrett to junior defender Jordan Harvey resulted in senior forward Ahmed Khalil's equalizing goal for the Bruins at 64:39. The goal was Khalil's second in the last three games. Benny Feilhaber's 15-yard shot at 79:08 soared just under the crossbar and just over the fingertips of Washington goalkeeper Chris Eylander for the game-winner.

Washington held the offensive edge in the first half, capped by a picture perfect goal from freshman midfielder Ely Allen. Sophomore midfielder Leo Totev served a cross to Allen, whose long curling 25-yard shot sailed into the far corner of the net at the 34:21 minute mark. UW outshot UCLA 9-4 in the first half and held a 1-0 advantage heading into the intermission.

But UCLA dominated the second half, outshooting Washington 8-4 and holding a 4-1 shots on goal advantage in the half.

UCLA, which needed either a victory over Washington or a tie and win this weekend to win the Pac-10 crown, improves its record to 11-2-2 overall, 6-1-0 in the Pac-10. The Bruins have won six straight contests. Washington drops to 11-5-2 overall, 4-2-1 in the Pac-10.

The Bruins will close out Pac-10 play with the conference title in hand on Sunday, Nov. 7 at Oregon State.
