LOS ANGELES -The eighth-ranked UCLA men's tennis team turned in one if its most dominating performances of the season Saturday, blanking No. 22 Arizona State, 7-0 at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. The Bruins are now 11-5 overall and improve to 2-1 in the Pac-10.
UCLA took a 1-0 advantage in the match by winning the doubles point with victories on all three courts.
In singles play, the Bruins were just as dominant, posting straight set victories on all six courts. In the only match featuring two ranked players, sixth-ranked Tobias Clemens of UCLA defeated 93rd-ranked Chris Stewart, 6-3, 6-0.
With the victory, UCLA avenges a 5-2 loss to the Sun Devils back on Feb. 20 in Tempe.
