Second-ranked UCLA defeated No.15 George Mason Thursday night in Pauley Pavilion.

The Bruins won 30-24, 30-21, 30-23 in 75 minutes before 325 fans. The victory raised UCLA's record to 20-3 overall. George Mason fell to 14-6 overall.

Senior Paul Johnson led the Bruins with 15 points, recording 10 kills (.692), four aces and two total blocks. Johnson's four aces tied a career high. Senior Allan Vince recorded eight kills (.615), two aces and four block assists for 12 points. Redshirt freshman Gaby Acevedo started his second straight match and recorded 35 set assists, five digs, a kill and an ace.

R.J. Goubeaux and Felix Campos led the Patriots with nine kills each.

The Bruins' next home match will be Wed., Apr. 6 vs. Cal State Northridge at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
