
UCLA Beats Pacific in Three Games

The second-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team returned to action Friday night with a three-game victory over No.11 Pacific in Stockton.
The Bruins won 30-21, 30-20, 30-18 in 78 minutes in front of 302 fans at the Spanos Center. The victory raised UCLA's record to 21-3 overall, 14-3 in MPSF play. The Tigers fell to 12-14, 6-12. With the win, the Bruins extended their winning streak over the Tigers to 21 matches.
Junior Damien Scott led the Bruins with nine kills (.533), 13 digs, one ace and one block assist. Senior Allan Vince recorded a career high of seven aces and senior Jonathan Acosta added eight kills and five block assists.
Mauricio Brizuela led the Tigers with 11 kills, but hit just .231. As a team UOP hit .109, was out-blocked 10.0-8.0 and out-served 11 aces to two.
UCLA travels to Stanford Saturday night for a 7 p.m. match at Maples Pavilion.
