
UCLA Edges Stanford 3-1

The second-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team defeated No.10 Stanford in four games Saturday night at Maples Pavilion in Palo Alto.
The Bruins won 25-30, 35-33, 30-21, 36-34 in two hours and 15 minutes in front of 660 fans. The victory raised UCLA's record to 22-3 overall, 15-3 in MPSF play. Stanford fell to 10-12 overall, 9-10 in league action.
Senior Paul Johnson led the Bruins with 22 kills (.526) and two aces. Redshirt sophomore Matt McKinney, who returned to the team this week following the basketball season, added 15 kills (.462) and seven total blocks, including four solos. Libero Tony Ker led UCLA with 14 digs.
The Bruins out-hit the Cardinal .249-.199 and won the battle at the net with 15.0 blocks to their opponent's nine.
Ben Reddy posted a double-double for Stanford, recording 23 kills and 19 digs.
The Bruins return home this week for their final two regular season matches against Cal State Northridge (Apr. 6) and vs. UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 9).
