Recap |  Box Score

UCLA Head Coach Sue Enquist
"You could get the feeling as the game went on that this was going to be a pitchers' duel. Jelly didn't have her "A" game today, and that's the sign of a good team in Georgia as the few slips they capitalized on put us in a situation where we were going to have to climb out of."

Re: Having to win twice tomorrow
"I don't think it's anything that you are conscious of. This team knew exactly what they had to do and we didn't do it. The further you get along in the tournament, your margin of error becomes more of a factor. We weren't looking past Georgia. There's a tremendous amount of respect we have for them in their ability to hit the ball. They've got great pitching. I'm just disappointed that we knew exactly what we were getting in (Michelle) Green and we didn't capitalize on it."

UCLA freshman pitcher Anjelica Selden
"I thought I wasn't as sharp as I usually am. The mistakes that I did make, they got the hit. It's just a matter of staying sharp and not missing my spots."

UCLA junior catcher Emily Zaplatosch
"We are very capable of doing it (winning twice on Saturday). We have it in the back of our minds that we did it last week and there is no reason why we cannot come out and do it again."

Georgia Head Coach Lu Harris-Champer
"It was an exciting game. There was a lot of up and down and good pitching from both teams. I think it's good that we've played them in the past (this season). They're (UCLA) a great team and hopefully when you play good teams, you play better."

Georgia senior pitcher Michelle Green
"I stuck to my gameplan and our hitters came out and responded. We just look at it one game at a time. We don't really look at the opponent. We just go out there and play the way we practice and the way we've played all year."

Georgia freshman third baseman Jessica Doucette
Re: her homer in the 5th inning
"I had two strikes on me. With two strikes, you just "choke and poke," shorten your swing up a little bit and that's what I did. We've been working hard on hitting the drop ball this week and my swing just took over from practice."
