On the men's side, four Bruins competed at the Stanford Invite with a frosh leading the way as David McDonald was UCLA's top runner in 71st-place with a time of 26:09 on the 8k course. Redshirt freshman Cory Primm ran 26:37 (102nd), sophomore Scott Crawford was 170th in a time of 27:34 and junior Ryan Gordon was 211th (28:42) to round out the men's competitors.

Freshman Katja Goldring continued her successful first campaign with the Bruin cross country team on Saturday as she once again led the UCLA women's team as the top runner, this time at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, CA. Goldring finished 22nd in a time of 22:02 on the 6k course as the women placed fifth as a team.

Sophomore Shannon Murakami was the No. 2 runner for the Bruins with her 32nd-place time of 22:21. Senior Lauren Jirges was 43rd (22:35) in the No. 3 spot, while freshman Shelby Buckley (53rd, 22:44) and sophomore Kelcie Wiemann (57th, 22:49) rounded out the top five runners for UCLA.

The men's team will head to the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Eugene, OR next weekend, while the women's team will be off from competition.
