The top-ranked UCLA women's golf team saw its lead shrink to three strokes entering the final round of the Arizona Wildcat Invitational Monday at the Peninsula Golf Club in Sonora, Mexico.

The Bruins, who held an eight-shot advantage after the first round, came back to the pack with a seven-over par round of 295 Monday. Their 36-hole total of 582 (+6) leads Arizona State (585, +2) by three strokes and USC (589, +13) by seven. Pepperdine climbed from ninth place to fourth at 590 (+14) and Oklahoma State was fifth at 592 (+16).

Unlike the first round, no UCLA players posted scores under par on Monday. Senior Ryann O'Toole had the Bruins' best score of the day, an even par 72. She was tied for 16th with two of her teammates. Freshman Stephanie Kono signed for a 74 (+2), but was tied for third, two strokes off the lead, at 143 (-1). Sophomore Glory Yang posted a score of 76 (+4) and was tied for 12th at 147 (+3). Senior Tiffany Joh and sophomore Maria Jose Uribe were tied for 16th at four-over par 148. Joh posted a 73 (+1) and Uribe signed for a 76 (+4).

Arizona State's Juliana Murcia and Cal's Pia Halbig were tied for the 36-hole lead at 142 (-2). Murcia posted a 75 (+3) and Halbig carded a 73 (+1) on Monday.
