Kocsor Picks Up NCAA Auto Mark In The Weight Throw To Lead Bruins In Nebraska

Senior All-American Boldizsar Kocsor showed why he is one of the premier throwers in the country on Saturday as he threw the No. 4 weight mark in the NCAA at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, NE.
Kocsor threw an NCAA automatic qualifier with a lifetime-best throw of 70-10.75 as he won the event by over four feet. That mark moves him into the top-five in the NCAA this season and is just a few inches shy of Dan Ames' 2003 school record toss of 71-2.50.
Heading into the meet, Kocsor had a season-best mark of 68-5.75 and a lifetime-best of 70-1.50.
The Bruins also had some fine performances from Kevin Craddock and Johnny Quinn. Craddock ran a season-best and NCAA provisional qualifier of 7.81 in the 60m hurdles to tie for the second-best mark overall. He will run in the finals on Saturday. His time also ranks as one of the top-10 marks in the NCAA this season. Quinn, who vaulted an all-time best of 17-7 last weekend again cleared a personal-best height, this time of 17-8.50. He finished second overall with the NCAA provisional qualifier and moves into the top-three in the NCAA this season.
Also on Friday, senior Dustin DeLeo cleared 17-00.75 to finish fourth overall, while sophomore Greg Woepse and senior Bobby Talley tied for fifth overall with equal clearances of 16-6.75.
