
No. 4 UCLA Women's Water Polo Secures 8-3 Win over No. 15 UC Davis

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - Sophomore goalkeeper Caitlin Dement recorded a career-high 22 saves to lead the No. 4 UCLA women's water polo team past No. 15 UC Davis, 8-3, in a non-conference match on Sunday morning at Sonoma State University.
Sophomore Sarah Orozco registered a career-high four goals, and junior Kelly Easterday scored two goals. The Bruins (8-3) also received one goal from juniors Megan Burmeister and Grace Reynolds.
UCLA led from the start, securing a 3-0 lead through the first quarter. UC Davis (5-6) and UCLA each recorded two goals in the second period, allowing the Bruins to maintain a 5-2 advantage at halftime.
The Bruins blanked UC Davis by a 2-0 margin in the third quarter. Each team added one goal in the final period.
UC Davis received one goal each from Kathryn Bailey, Alicia Began and Michelle Hook.
UCLA returns to action against Sonoma State on Sunday, Feb. 21. Game time at Sonoma State is 2:15 p.m.
