Jones, Locke and Barr Highlight Bruins on Pac-12 All-Academic Team

Pac-12 All-Academic Team Get Acrobat Reader

The Pac-12 Conference has announced the 2011 All-Academic team and 13 Bruins have been honored for their success in the classroom and on the field. Highlighting this year's All-Academic Bruin honorees on the first-team is sophomore running back Malcolm Jones, who holds a 3.20 gpa with an undeclared major.

Earning second-team honors are sophomore F-back Anthony Barr and junior punter Jeff Locke. Barr holds a 3.14 gpa as an undeclared major, while Locke has a 3.63 gpa as an Economics major. Locke was a first-team honoree in 2010 and 2009.

Earning honorable mention acclaim are senior place kicker Tyler Gonzalez, freshmen linebackers Eric Kendricks, Philllip Ruhl, Aramide Olaniyan and Jared Koster, junior long snapper Kevin McDermott, junior defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa, junior quarterback Kevin Prince, sophomore offensive lineman Chris Ward and senior linebacker Sean Westgate.
