The No. 2/No. 3 (Golfweek/Golfstat) ranked UCLA women's golf team took home the PING/ASU Invitational title for the second straight year, winning by four strokes over second place USC.

The win is Coach Carrie Forsyth's 38th as UCLA head coach and the fourth tournament victory for the Bruins this year. This also marks the fourth time that UCLA has won the PING/ASU Invitational, with the team winning in 2004, 2006 and 2010.

The Bruins recorded a final round score of 298 (+10) to finish with a total of 863 (-1), making them the only team to finish the tournament under par. USC took home second place with a score of 867 (+3) while Arizona finished in third place at 878 (+14). Rounding out the top five were Texas and Stanford, who finished at 880 (+16) and 886 (+22) respectively.

Individually, sophomore Tiffany Lua took home second place after shooting a final round 72 (E) to finish at 213 (-3). Meanwhile, junior Stephanie Kono finished in third place after a final round 75 (+3) to finish at 214 (-2). This is both Kono and Lua's third top five finish of the season. As for the rest of the Bruins, sophomore Lee Lopez and freshman Ani Gulugian tied for 10th place at 218 (+2) after shooting a final round 75 (+3) and 76 (+4) respectively. Senior Glory Yang finished tied for 25th after recording a 76 (+4) for her final round.

Sophia Popov of USC won individual medalist honors at the tournament with a final score of 211 (-5).

The Bruins will be back out on the course from Sunday, April 17 to Tuesday, April 19 at the Pac-10 Championships in Tempe, AZ. The tournament will be played at Karsten Golf Course, which is the same course that the Bruins just played on this past weekend.
